Abstract

This systematic review focuses on evaluating three widely used intervention approaches for autism spectrum disorders (ASD): technology-based parent-mediated programs, developmental social pragmatic (DSP) approaches, and augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) systems. ASD is characterized by challenges in communication, social interaction, and adaptive functioning. The review highlights the unique strengths of each approach, such as empowering parents as active participants, fostering naturalistic social engagement, and supporting communication for non-verbal children. However, variability in implementation and a lack of long-term studies underscore the need for integrated and personalized strategies. Future research should prioritize combining these interventions with emerging technologies to enhance developmental outcomes through collaborative efforts among families, educators, and healthcare providers.
