Abstract

AI holds promise for enhancing educational outcomes for students with learning disabilities (SWLD), providing custom-tailored learning experiences to overcome the  shortcomings of traditional education modalities. This paper explores one such technological advance, AI,  and its potential to bridge the equity gap through an earlier recognition of areas in need of support by tailoring learning environments, providing immediate feedback, and promoting personalized interventions for SWLD. But the journey is not without challenges including insufficient inclusive design, unequal  access to technology and inadequate teacher training. Through descriptive analysis, correlation analysis, and linear regression, this paper examines survey and interview data to elucidate the opportunities that AI presents and the challenges that must be faced to fulfill AI’s promise for all students.
